ANU Football League Knockout
Both Accounting Junior and Pharmacy Senior teams qualified for the final game of Al-Nasser football league tournament as a result of winning the semifinals held at Al-Sha’ab Club playground on Feb 24, 2018.
Playing the match against Admin Sophomore, Accounting Junior won by 7/0. At the outset, both teams did their best with many attacks of Accounting against Admin’s defense. The first goal was scored by Mohammed El-Nemri to be followed by many others as the game proceeded in favor of Accounting team.
Scoring three goals, player Mohammed Khurays kept up his starring performance. Two goals were scored by player Yosuf El-Rada’ei, one by Waleed El-Dhela’I, and one by Mohammed El-Nemri. With the game’s result, Accounting team could qualify for the tournament finals three time in a row.
In the second game, Pharmacy senior played against Accounting senior. Both teams shew an average performance till the first goal was scored by Mohammed El-Mulsi of Pharmacy who starred with another goal. The third and fourth goals were scored by Naseem El-Wesabi and mohammed El-Maqas. Accounting could score their face-saving goal allowing Pharmacy to qualify for the final by 4/1 result.
With such a result, both teams are to play the final game for the three times in a row. While Pharmacy seeks to compensate their loss of the championship two times, Accounting has keep up the title for the third time.
The final match is to be held next Monday, Feb 26, 2018 on El-Sha’ab Club playground in the presence of the Chancellor, staff and faculty members, and teams’ fans.
