Students are normally expected to to do learning and assessment activities (such as attending lectures, and assigned textbook readings. The student workload for some subjects may vary from these norms as a result of approved course design. Courses in general are assessed separately using a mixture of writing examinations, coursework, presentations and projects.

An accounting degree will give graduates the skills to work with numbers in a range of areas. Our graduates work in banking, insurance, accounting and finance. They work for the government, companies and themselves. The range of career options depends on the subjects chosen but, given we offer open electives with the potential for a finance major, graduates will be able to explore several career paths. Examples of roles that graduates can pursue include accountant for a large corporation or small business, tax accountant for an individual or business, business analyst in a bank or consulting firm, or self-employed accountant that looks after a variety of clients.
