Charity Bazaar for Renal-Failure Patients

A charity bazaar has been organized by Al-Nasser University in conjunction with May 22 Hospital at Dhela’ Hamdan. The bazaar that was meant to support renal-failure patients had the motto, “Donate a Drop of Hope for Renal-failure Patients.” All of Dr. Ahmed Saif (Chairman of Board Trustee), Dr. Jameel Kahtan (Deputy Manager of Renal Dialysis Centre at the Hospital), and Dr. Nasr El-Nusayri (the Centre’s Financial Executive) attended the bazaar.

Delivering the opening speech, Dr. Yasser El-Mathaji (Chairman of Pharmacology Department) thanked the University’s Administration as well as the Hospital for sponsoring the event noting to the leading role Al-Nasser plays in humanitarian activities. He highly valued the sixth-cohort students of Pharma Department who actually coordinated the event and concluded with inviting attendees to make the campaign a success. Dr. Nasr El-Nusayri gave a speech in which he appreciated the University’s outstanding support for renal-failure patients through organizing such charity events in addition to providing patients with medicines. He highlighted the importance of such initiatives especially when the patients’ suffering has recently increased due to the present complex situation.

Student Salah-adeen Elhaymi, the event’s coordinator, addressed the audience appreciating the University’s constant support for such campaigns and thanked his fellows who did their best towards making the event a success. The program contained a number of entertaining shows and auctions with all proceeds going to support patients. In addition to the CBT, attendees included: Dr. Yasser El-Madhaji (Head of Pharma Department), Dr. Muhammed El-Kuhali (FAS Dean), Mr. Ali El-Thayfani (Secretary General), Dr. Ibtisam El-Moayad (Head of Lab. Department), Dr. Nawal El-Zindani (Pharmacology Superintendant), faculty members and a large number of students. The bazaar had many donations either in cash or by the proceeds of auctioning local products. Later on, the patients’ needs are to be bought and delivered to them in May 22 Hospital by Pharma sixth-cohort students.
