Al-Nasser University, represented by Prof Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor), was honored by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Monday, 30 Sep 2019, for its valuable contribution to the success of the National Competition of IT College Graduation Projects at Yemeni Universities conducted by the MHESR’s IT Center.
Three graduations projects presented by IT students were announced winners during the event organized in the presence of Mr. Hussein Hazeb (Minister of Higher Educatioin), Dr. Ali Sharaf Addeen (the Vice-Minister), Chairman of Academic Accreditation Council, and a number of MHESR and ITC officials.
The Minister of Higher Education noted to how the competition could cast light on the students’ innovative projects at the Yemeni universities as well as encourage the students to creatively and competitively develop technology. Moreover, it introduced the excellent project developers to interested businessmen and academicians so that their projects can access the industrial market provided that the ideas they tackled can serve development.
The national competition of IT college graduation projects was launched by the ITC affiliated to MHESR who further formed two committees from the universities for the purpose. A prepcom received the participant projects and handed them over to a specialized academic committee who in turn evaluated, sifted, and shortlisted them based on scientific criteria and across several phases.
