FMS Welcomes Freshers & Honors Toppers

Conducted in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Saif Muharram (CBT) and Prof. Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor) on Thursday, Jan 5, 2017, a celebration was organized by the FMS Deanship to welcome the 2017 Fresher and honor the topper students of Lab, Nursing, and Public Health Depts.

In his speech, the Chancellor expressed the sense of pride over the topper students’ brilliance and urged them to keep on hardworking and excellent standard. He stressed the University’s keen concern with the fresher students and readiness to provide the best educational environment noting to the fact that the programs go in line with the academic accreditation standards of Ministry of Higher Education.

For his part, Dr. Abdulraqeeb El-Henani (Head of Nursing Dept.) welcomed the fresher students. He considered their choice of Al-Nasser as a token of trust that encourages the University to carry on its academic progress. It will spare no effort to provide the ideal educational environment that cultivates in students the humanitarian and social values as well as the competitive spirit towards knowledge acquisition.

Dr. Mukhtar El-Zumor (Head of Lab Dept.) stated out that the University is proud of the outstanding students whose hardworking and dedication best represent their respective departments. He invited other students to take them as examples since the University is committed to providing high qualification and practical training and will overcome any arising difficulties.

The celebration had many entertaining shows including an interview with Dr. Taha El-Majeedi (a member of Al-Nasser alumni) who had a good impact in community. The program included poetic presentations, a stand-up comedy performed by the starring actor Yahia Ibrahim, and songs by Mohammed El-Wade’i and the gifted boy Shihab El-Sha’rani. It concluded with presenting awards to the topper students.

Giving his feedback on the event, Ali Shaker (a Nursing fourth-level second-topper) pointed out that such an occasion encourages the brilliant students to carry on.

Bushra El-Senhani (a Nursing fourth-level third-topper) felt so proud of being a student at Al-Nasser University were both the accredited curricula and competent faculty members make up brilliant students.

Student Ibrahim Yahya (the Lab fourth-level representative) praised the University’s interest in the practical learning as well as conducting such a celebration in honor of ranking students and cohorts’ representatives.

The event was held in the FMS’s grand hall in the presence of Mr. Ali El-Thayfani (Secretary-general), Dr. Abdulkareem El-Zumor (FMS Dean), heads of departments, faculty members and a big gathering of students.
