Pharmacy Dept. Organizes Field Visit to Biopharm Plant

The second field visit involving 5^th level students was organized by Pharmacy Department at Faculty of Medical Sciences on Wednesday, 26 Feb 2020, to Biopharma pharmaceutical plant. The visit meant to improve the students’ professional skills and enhancing the theoretical learning with a real-life experience.

Received by Dr. Mohammed Ennidharri (the Manager) and a group of staff members, the students were introduced into the work mechanism of the plant’s various sections. They toured the production department, ready production operation chamber, liquid and semi-solid product zone, tablet zone, granulation zone, mixing zone, tablet compression zone, tablet coating zone, powder and capsule preparation zone, in-between monitoring lab, capsule filling, powder grinding and mixing zone, capsule packaging, filling and packaging zone, powder packaging chamber, tablet packaging chamber, packing zone, packaging zone of liquid and semiliquid product, research, development, and quality control labs, and injection production line.

The students were accompanied by Dr. Safya Erruzami (Director of Training and Research, FMS) throughout the visit which falls within the department’s training plan for the second semester, 2019/2020.
