TESOL Course Concluded at Department of English

The course of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) was concluded at Department of English on Tuesday, 16 April 2019. The course was meant to train the teachers of English language on the modern teaching and communication methods and by fulfilling the requirements they are awarded the TESOL certificate.

Held during March 2-24, 2019, the course tackled a number of main modules including the skills of effective communication, making presentation, and preparing lessons, activities, and tests according to quality standards. Moreover, it tackled the teaching methods and approaches of language systems and how they can be applicable by teachers and trainers. The trainees were keenly made to carry out the modules’ practical so that their performance can be assessed and thus improved.

A small party was organized on the occasion of the course close in the presence of Dr. Munir Al-Aghberi (Head of English Department), Dr. Anwar Mas’oud (Director of Quality Unit), Mr. Omar Tawfeeq (the course trainer) who handed the participation certificates over to trainees.
