University Council Second Meeting Discussed Education Progress

Presided over by Prof. Saeed Alghalibi, the Rector, the University Council held a meeting on Saturday morning 23-10-2014 that discussed the progress in the educational process at the beginning of the current academic year.
The meeting discussed various issues related to the progress of study in colleges and the possible problems that students might face in their respective departments and the appropriate solutions to overcome them.
At the meeting, the Rector offered his thanks to deans of colleges and heads of department for their efforts preparing for the new academic year. He gave a detailed explanation on the progress of the educational process based on the reports submitted to his office by faculties and departments. The Council members discussed thereafter the reality of the educational situation, what can be developed, what needs additional modifications, and how to solve the arising problems.
The Council members attending the meeting included: Secretary-General, Mr. Ali Althaivani; Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Dr. AbdulKarim Alzumor; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Mohammed Aljirafi; Head of Pharmacology Department, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ghazali ; Director of Finance, Ms. Amal Al-Hamdani ; Mr. Fathi Alukabi, Director of Student Affairs; Dr. Mukhtar Alsorori, Head of Aptech Center; and Dr. Ibtisam Alamu’ayad Head of Lab Department .
