In the presence of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, the 1st<\/sup> session of the 10th<\/sup> scientific conference for 2020\/2021 graduation research viva voce was held by Faculty of Medical Sciences, Al-Nasser University on Sat, 21 August 2021. The event, that is going on for three days, August 21-23, is organized with the participation of the would-be graduates of Pharmacy, Medical Labs, Nursing, and Community Health departments.<\/p>\n

Prof Tahish confirmed in his speech that Al-Nasser University has gone a long way in practical learning so as to bring out productive graduates. Noticeably, the product exhibition included brilliant ideas and products that need to be made concrete, especially under the guidance of Dr. Abdulkareem Ezzumor who is an eminent research scholar with a broad experience in pharmacology.<\/p>\n

He also looked forward to having an agreement with the pharmaceutical companies whereupon Al-Nasser University will be a research center providing ideas and scientific studies that can be turned into pharmaceutical products by those companies with the help of their manufacturing facilities.<\/p>\n

The 10th<\/sup> scientific conference comprised two parts: an exhibition of the products developed via the studies of the research groups, and the viva voce sessions of the same studies where the students had to present and defend their researches before the examination committee.<\/p>\n

Mr. Fuad Elbadani, the Student Affairs Officer at FMS, gave a speech at the outset of the viva in which he greeted the audience and noted to the conference becomes an annual occasion to parade the enlightened minds of our graduates who would add their deep imprint to FMS and its academic departments. This is achieved due to the insightful vision of the Chancellor as well as the industrious efforts of the FMS\u2019 dean, heads of departments, faculty, and staff members.<\/p>\n

He noted to how the viva voce sessions confirm the University\u2019s veracious progress, goaded by a precise academic vision, towards its main goal of offering the competent professional cadre that serve its community and participate in the national wellbeing.<\/p>\n

For his part, Dr. Omar Esh-shuja\u2019, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center, talked about his sense of pride over the FMS\u2019 outcome. He pointed out that the yesterday\u2019s students have become today\u2019s colleagues and those who used to be recipients have become the leaders of change. According to him, this is the time of harvest for the FMS with all its departments. Each of our graduates, he maintains, is able to handle the scientific research tools, make use of statistic and measurement utilities, and get involved in pharmaceutical production. They are, therefore, responsible in holding Al-Nasser University\u2019s name high, prove their merits, and become its typical representatives to the labor market.<\/p>\n

From his part, Dr. Abdulmalik Abu-Dunia, YEDCO\u2019s Chairman of Board of Directors, pointed out that creating a natural product out of national raw materials is the biggest success. He stressed that our national capabilities are not less than the countries exporting the raw materials which can be extracted and manufactured from our natural environment. He confirmed his readiness to adopt and support researches up to the stage of turning them into pharmaceutical products in conjunction with the University. He, moreover, welcome the idea of having a pharmaceutical partnership agreement by which such scientific studies can be made concrete in the forms of YEDCO products.<\/p>\n

The 1st<\/sup> viva session was held at the FMS\u2019s grand hall, Al-Nasser University in the presence of Dr. Abdulmalik Abu-Dunia (YEDCO\u2019s Chairman of Board of Directors), Dr. Omar Wahas (Saba Pharma\u2019s Technical Director), Dr. Sami Esh-shara\u2019bi (Director of New Labs), Dr. Mohammed Elathra\u2019I (Director of Eth-tharhani\u2019s Labs), Dr. Abdulkareem Ezzumor (FMS Dean), Dr. Esh-Shuja\u2019 (Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center), heads of department at FMS, a number of the academic and Administrative staff members, and the FMS\u2019 students of variable majors.<\/p>\n
