Monday, 10 August 2015
Prof.  Abdullah Tahish, the Rector, conducted a visit to Faculty of Medical Sciences where he had a look at many class halls and labs so as to inspect the progress of the educational process. The Rector was escorted throughout his visit by Dr. Abdulkareem El-Zumor, the Dean; Dr. Yasir El-Madhaji, Head of Pharmacology Dept; and Dr. Ibtisam El-Mua’yad, Head of Laboratory Dept.
The Rector highlighted a number of topics all of which focused on the study progress during such an exceptional period and how to ensure the continuity of classes so as to meet the University’s policies that stress on having highly-qualified graduates.
He confirmed that the University is keen to keep its students quite unaffected by the exceptional bad circumstances the entire country is undergoing. He also noted that the University will give compensatory classes at the beginning of the next semester upon the students’ as well as the respective departments’ request.
The Rector appreciated the students great concern over finishing the classes with an attendance rate that nearly amounts to 100% despite the bad political situation.

Such topics and many others were discussed in a meeting that the Rector held with the FMS administrative staff.Al-Aghberi
