CBT and Rector Received Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council

The Chairperson and members of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council at Ministry of Higher Education have conducted a visit to Al-Nasser University where they were received by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees along with the Rector.

The Council’s visit took place as part of a program to inspect and ensure the quality standards implementation at the universities and institutions in Sana’a.

 In the meeting held with the University’s administration, the Council’s Chairperson, Prof. Aneesa Aboud, stressed that the improvement of education quality represents a fundamental objective for any educational policy.

Dr. Ali El-Hamadi, the Director of Assessment and Follow-up Dept. at the Council noted how the inspection program is meant to identify the extent to which quality standards are applicable as well as the universities’ requirements for better implementation.

Dr. Arif El-Hamadi, the Director of Quality Assurance, and Dr. Adnan El-Selwi, the Director of Accreditation and Licensing, praised the commitment of Al-Nasser to the standards of quality assurance and academic accreditation .

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Saif Muharram, CBT, welcomed the partnership and cooperation established with the Council towards upgrading the university education.

Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Rector, confirmed that the University would give a leading example in the application of academic quality criteria.

He also talked about a proposed project to establish a self-assessment quality unit at the University in coordination with the Council.
