Medical Lab Department Completes First Aid Training Session

In the presence of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, a festivity was organized by Medical Labs Department at Faculty of Medical Sciences on Monday, 15 Nov 2021. The event was held on the occasion of completing the first aid training session targeting 2nd level students between 9-11 Nov 2021.

Addressing the audience, the Chancellor noted to the importance of Medical Labs program for health sector as it represents the basis that doctors rely on to diagnose the variable diseases. He accentuated that Al-Nasser University is committed to serving the community by offering well-qualified professionals who can contribute to the wellbeing of the national health sector and meet its demands. He also appreciated the efforts made by the Head of Medical Labs Department and FMS Dean towards improving the educational process at the department.

For his part, Dr. Mukhtar Ezzumor (Head of Medical Labs Department) pointed out that getting familiar with the first aid methods is a must for any medical science student. Therefore, Medical Labs Department is always keen to train its students in such skills so as to enable them to deal with variable emergencies that they may come across. In recognition, he presented his sincere thanks to the Chancellor and FMS Deanship for their constant support to the department by providing competent faculty, infrastructure, lab equipment, student training courses, etc.

The event’s program included many shows presented by Medical Labs’ 2nd level students about first aid skills. Among attendees were Prof Abdulkareem Ezzumor (FMS Dean), Dr. Mohammed Esh-shahethi (Head of Public Health Department), staff and faculty members, and students. The event was concluded with handing thankful certificates over to Mrs. Ashwaq Eladeeb (the department’s superintendent), Dr. Fuad Radhwan (the trainer), and the coordinators. In addition, participation certificates were given to the trainees.  .
