Al-Nasser University Ranks Second Among Yemeni Universities

In a recent university ranking conducted by Ranking Web of World Universities www.webometrics.info Al-Nasser University has ranked highly among Arab universities garnering the second position nationally.
Al-Nasser University, which has remarkably moved up the list in recent international rankings of universities, was one of 27 Yemeni universities that were listed for the 2014 university ranking.
Coming at the 116th place among Arab universities, Al-Nasser was ranked higher by 5000 places than Sana’a University that was placed third nationally and 236th among Arab universities. Iman University ranked fourth nationally and 257 regionally, while Aden University ranked fifth nationally and 274 regionally.
The Webometrics , also known as Ranking Web of World Universities, is a ranking system for the world’s universities based on a multiple indicator that takes into account both the volume of the Web contents (number of web pages and files) and the visibility and impact of these web publications according to the number of external inlinks (site citations) they received. The ranking is published semiannually by the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) located in Madrid.
