Chancellor Partakes in FASRC’s Meeting

Al-Nasser University’s Chancellor & Secretary General of Arab Association for Environmental Sciences, Prof Abdullah Tahish, took part in the thirty-ninth meeting of Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils (FASRC) held in Cairo on Dec 14, 2017.

Discussing many items on its agenda, the meeting reviewed the scientific associations’ activities over the last year and their own strategic plans. The meeting also talked over the Arab strategy for Scientific, technological and innovative research as well as the awards granted for the youth outstanding studies and invention. Besides, the 2018 plan of the FASRC was approved.

The FASRC is meant to coordinate efforts, exchange experiences amid Arab scientific research centers and enhance their bonds of relationship, sponsor scientific conferences, and organize a mechanism by which research findings and scientific information are circulated among members.

It is noteworthy that the Arab Association for Environmental Studies affiliated to FASRC co-sponsors the Journal of Environment & Sustainable Development Studies published biannually by Al-Nasser University.
