Prime Minister Partakes in Inaugural Ceremony of Al-Nasser University 2nd Strategic Plan 2023-2023

Prime Minister, Prof Abdulaziz Ben Habtour, took part in the inaugural ceremony of Al-Nasser University’s 2nd strategic plan (2023-2028) held at the University’s headquarter on Wed, 15 Muharam 1445 AH, corresponding to 2 August 2023.

The event was held in the presence of Mr. Hussein Hazeb, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Vice Minister Dr. Ali Sharaf-Eddeen, Deputy Minister for Educational Institutions Dr. Ghaleb Elqanes, Director of Scientific Research Sector Dr. Sadeq Esheragi, Deputy Assistant Dr. Elham Essanabani, Chairman of Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Dr. Ahmed Elhaboub, Secretary General of the Council Dr. Mohammed Dhaif-Allah, the Member of the Council Dr. Anwar Masoud, the CEO of IT Center at MOHESR Dr Fuad Abdurrazaq, and Chairman of Private Universities Federation Dr. Yahya Abu Hatem.

The Prime Minister, Minister of Higher Education and chief guests were received by Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, Prof Mohammed Esharjabi, the Chancellor’s Counselor for Academic Accreditation and Supervisor of Computer Programs, Mr. Ali Ethayfani, Secretary General, Prof Omar Eshuja, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center, deans of faculties and heads of departments in the University.

Prime Minister gave a speech in which he extended his thanks to Al-Nasser University Staff, including the Chancellor, deans of faculties, heads of departments, and faculty members, for organizing such an academic event. He also appreciated the role played by the team preparing the strategic plan which adds to the national knowledge framework of which the present government, MOHESR, and national universities feel proud.

He noted that the higher education in Yemen began before 52 years. A long expertise, he confirmed, had developed in the variable fields in addition to an accumulative knowledge in scientific research, course syllaba, techniques, and tools that can compete regionally and internationally.

For his part, Minister of Higher Education congratulated Al-Nasser University for the success achieved in the academic, administrative, and research performance. It has been crowned, he maintained, with the inauguration of the 2nd strategic plan. He also praised the efforts exerted by the University’s Chancellor and staff for improving education, giving more attention to practical and research aspects, thus ensuring that the outcomes are distinctive and can contribute to the national development.

Prof Tahish gave a speech in which he greeted the guests who participated in the inaugural ceremony. He, moreover, confirmed that the University has prepared a strategic plan having vision and mission which are accurate, applicable, and up-to-date. He noted how the student represents the ultimate goal and valuable asset for the nation.

The event included a brief introduction to the methodology followed while preparing the strategic plan presented by Prof Mohammed Esharjabi, the Chancellor’s Counselor for Academic Accreditation, Prof Omar Eshuja, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center, and Dr. Munir Al-Aghberi, Head of Strategic Planning Unit.

The Prime Minister escorted by other guests also toured the facilities at Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science and had a look at the students’ project gallery at IT, Civil Engineering, and Architecture departments.
