Yemen Red Crescent Trained Nursing Students in First Aid

A four-day training course in first aid has been organized in Department of Nursing by Department of Research and Training at FMS in conjunction with Yemen Red Crescent Society (YRCS). At the opening session, Dr Abdullah Tahish, the Rector, urged the Nursing students targeted by the course to take advantage of the first aid theoretical principles and thus put them into practice. He confirmed the keen interest of Al-Nasser administration in implementing the practical education at all disciplines.
Dr. Abdulraqeeb El-Hanani, Head of Nursing Department, valued the humanitarian efforts by the trainers of YRCS, Sana’a Office, describing them as humanitarian pioneers who impartially provide first aid to emergencies. He stressed that students must enrich their practical experience with the trainers’ competent expertise.  Dr Fuad Mohammed Radhwan, the YRCS Training Official, highlighted such important practical skills that the course would cover as: CBR and control of bleeding, trauma, poisoning, burns and wounds, in addition to dealing with dressings and injections, taking biological measurements, etc.
The opening session was held in the presence of the Rector, faculty members, and YRCS representatives.
